and beyond. We are conveniently located 1 ½ miles off I-40 in Mebane, NC, just a short drive from the Triangle to the East and Burlington/Greensboro to the West. Stress Free Boarding
Making sure that your pet is relaxed and comfortable is our number one priority. Large climate controlled suites and soothing music accompany the personal attention your kitties will receive during their stay.

The Laid Back Cat was designed to offer our guests as much stimulation as possible. Because we want our guests to stay fit and active, each suite has three levels of shelves and ledges for those cats that are comfortable up high.

Each suite has a window with a window seat so that the cats can enjoy watching the birds at the many bird feeders around the kennel. Plantings were chosen to attract butterflies.

LUXURY SUITES
The Laid Back Cat has no cages. Instead, we offer oversized walk-in suites. Each suite has three levels of shelves and ledges for those cats that are comfortable up high. All of our suites have a window with a window seat so the cats can enjoy watching the birds at the many bird feeders around the kennel. Plantings were chosen to attract butterflies. Squirrles and deer are abundant. Our patrons get plenty of visual stimulation.

We accept cash, checks, credit cards and Venmo. We do not offer a discount for extended stays. We believe the longer the stay, the more attention the kitty needs and will receive. We do offer 10% off the cost of the stay to veterans, active military personnel, and seniors over 65. Because we use premium litter – walnut shell – we charge a litter fee of $10 for each stay. An additional litter fee is added every 14 days of a stay.

At The Laid Back Cat we offer a variety of services to please even the pickiest of kitties.

Medications

Per Day
Meds given in food is free of charge. Oral, injectable, or topical meds are charged per day no matter the quantity. If cat refuses to eat meds and they are given orally, the med fee is added.
Playtime Sessions
$5
Per Session
Give your kitty 15 minutes of private uninterrupted play time with one of our staff. When possible, your kitty will get to play in the lobby where they can enjoy a home like setting.
Snuggle & Tuck-In
$5
Per Session
Your kitty can get an extra fifteen minutes of snuggle time and attention. They will get lots of loves and kitty massages. Snuggle sessions end with kisses and a bedtime treat.
Meow-tinis
$5
Per Kitty Cocktail
Blend of liquid kitty treats with a Churu and catnip rim. Garnished with freeze dried shrimp. This is a great option if your kitty struggles to drink enough water. Cats love variety.
Lick Mats & Treats

Per Lick Mat or Treat
Lick mats are placed on your kitties window for extra sensory stimulation. We also carry a variety of other treats. You will find these in the extra services menu when booking.
